Gergely Radacsi, researcher, was invited to present the latest research results of the Center on the role of the business sector in the solution of complex issues affecting society at the 22nd Annual Meeting of the Society for Prevention Research in Washington DC. in May 2014. This conference is known as one of the most outstanding gathering of prevention scientist in America, but also internationally. In recognition of the quality of the work the Center received financial assistance for travel and accommodation. This research generated interest among US scholars and a team from Center for Workforce Health at ISA Group decided to cooperate with the Center. A joint publication is under preparation.
Module 6: Implementation & Control April 26-28, 2012
At the Budapest module of the EU-funded TEMPO project, class content focused on the practical implementation and integration of CSR strategies and programs into the company’s values, structure, activities and communications. The students learned how to use and adapt a Framework for Strategic Integration of CSR that provides them with a step by step tool to analyze, identify, prioritize and implement CSR strategies that focus on complimenting business with societal objectives. A major element of the program is the CSR Lab in which students apply the Framework for Strategic Integration and together with Senior Executives of a real company identify, integrate and develop a CSR program. The Master Class have 25 participants from 13 countries, most of them high and mid-level managers.

The new Corporate Governance and Business Integrity Glossary was released by the Corporate Governance and Business Integrity Committee of AmCham, in cooperation with the Center for Business and Society of CEU Business School. The purpose of the Glossary is to provide help to firms, consultants, legal experts and listed companies as well as researchers and academics to better understand and correctly use the professional terms in Hungarian business and legal life. The Glossary also provides short definitions and explanatory text for the entries. It is the outcome of almost two years of work absed on the numerous feedback we received after the publication of the first Glossary. The English version and the Hungarian version are available in pdf format.
IMPACT - Measuring the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility
A consortium of fourteen leading European research institutions, including CEU Business School's Center for Business and Society, has launched the project website for a unique research project that measures the impacts of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):www.csr-impact.eu.
- the European Commission’s largest ever research and knowledge development initiative on CSR, supported by € 2.6 million in funding under the EU’s 7th Framework Programme for Research.
- a systematic attempt to measure the contribution of CSR to the social, economic and environmental goals of the European Union.
- an evidence-based assessment and analysis of CSR impact within companies, across industry sectors and regions, and at national and EU levels.
- an inter- and transdisciplinary research design
- acomplementary consortium of sixteen top European research institutions, combining independent sustainability research, business schools, universities and CSR networks.
