Welcome from the Dean

Welcome to the first issue of the
CEU Business School Bulletin. We are excited to launch this new channel for communication across our impressive and diverse community. I invite you all to read about new initiatives and opportunities at the School and about the accomplishments of our faculty, alumni, students, staff and others.I also would like to share a quick but important recent update. With the arrival of our new Katalyst EMBA participants and new Master's of Finance students in late March, CEU Business School reached a significant milestone. For first time in our history the School has over 175 graduate students enrolled! This is a terrific achievement, and we thank you all.

With best wishes,

Mel Horwitch
Dean and University Professor

"Design Thinking" - yet another excellent example of CEU Business School leading the way:

Design Thinking is a new course co-taught by Prof. Zoltan Buzady and Prof. Daniel Barcza, a distinguished faculty member of MOME, the world-famous design university in Budapest. The course aims to provide the understanding and successful application of creative thinking, to strengthen the skills of managing the problem solving process by applying innovation and design thinking principles within a typical organizational context. The mixed student teams from CEU BS and MOME delivered their creative and convincing - even inspiring - final presentations related to the 'World Water Day', held in late March. In fact, the blending of diverse competencies resulted in a learning experience unmatched by many other leading business schools.

Alumni Accomplishments:

Borbala Czako, Global Partner at Ernst & Young and CEU MBA Alumna named one of the 50 most influential women in business in Hungary by the Hungarian edition of Forbes Magazine.
