Welcome from the Dean

Welcome to our second CEU Business School Bulletin! We are now winding up a successful and packed academic year. With so much taking place, it is useful to step back and take stock. CEU Business School now has over 180 enrolled graduate students in all its degree programs and our faculty contribute to their respective fields in diverse and impressive ways. The school now clearly possesses broad-based momentum. Our challenge is to accelerate and capitalize on this dynamism during the upcoming academic year. We plan to do this by creatively and strategically leveraging our portfolio of programs and courses, by engaging our alumni more fully, and by nurturing faculty contributions to have even greater impact in our intellectual fields, our region and the broader managerial and entrepreneurial communities. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this brief update on what is happening at CEU Business School.

Dean and University Professor

This year's New York City MBA module again is a huge success.

The special NYC MBA Module is a now a distinctive and exciting part of the CEU MBA experience. Three weeks in duration, this module has energized CEU MBA students and enlivened and distinguished our MBA offering. Required for all CEU A1MBAs, this year 16 EMBAs also opted to join the NYC MBA Module. All participants were impressed by the unprecedented high-level corporate, entrepreneurial and academic access and experience provided to our MBA students. All interactions are off-the-record and in-depth, and cover such subjects as global-city entrepreneurship, modern professional management, new financial services, global professional services and urban sustainability. The NYC MBA Module, launched only four years ago, is now fully integrated into the CEU MBA learning experience—significantly broadening our MBA and adding an unrivaled learning dimension.

  • "I have been recently nominated as the Regional IT Manager for West Africa at Unilever. My CEU Business School education has been a key differentiator during an otherwise very competitive recruitment process. I would like to thank all my great peers of the 2013-14 cohort and the wonderful faculty at the B-School for the valuable learning experience I had during my time in BP."
