Administrategy: Or Why Business Should Care About Strategically Focused Public Administration

Maciej Kisilowski, Assistant Professor of Law and Public Management

In “Administrategy” — his path-breaking book to be published this fall simultaneously in Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Ukraine — Prof. Kisilowski calls on managers of our public-sector institutions — from ministries to city halls to schools and hospitals — to think more strategically. Not only for the interest of their countries, but also for their own personal career interest. Using examples from many years of his research and consulting on business-government relations, and especially his Legal, Political, and Policy Environment of the Market course (a highly regarded part of our EMBA and A1MBA core curriculum), Prof. Kisilowski will discuss why both corporate managers and entrepreneurs have vested interest in administrategy. Why business desperately needs the strategically focused government.

  • "I have been recently nominated as the Regional IT Manager for West Africa at Unilever. My CEU Business School education has been a key differentiator during an otherwise very competitive recruitment process. I would like to thank all my great peers of the 2013-14 cohort and the wonderful faculty at the B-School for the valuable learning experience I had during my time in BP."
