CEU Business School Launches MS in Business Analytics

CEU Business School and the Department of Economics at CEU have successfully launched their joint Business Analytics master’s program.

Dean Mel Horwitch of the Business School, together with Program Directors Miklos Koren and Achilles Georgiu, launched the new program on September 11. On their first day in the Business Analytics program, the new student team learned about CEU and the program-founding school and department, met colleagues and faculty, and discussed the road ahead. The first classes in the program have already this week.

Program description:

The new interdisciplinary Business Analytics MS program is unprecedented in Europe. It offers a full spectrum of skills and knowledge necessary for business analysts to create value from big data and other sources of quantitative information while emphasizing the management and economic aspects of how data creates value.

The program provides insight four disciplines: Economics, Management, Statistics and Technology. These four disciplines are equally important in Business Analytics and receive about equal weight in the curriculum.
