Governmental Absurdities

Governmental Absurdities

Welcome to IRI's online repository of governmental absurdities!

We are collecting here absurdities from all around the world, although the country focus obviously reflects nationality, professional expertise and personal experience  of our MBA students -- the prime suppliers of the cases. We invite you, however, to contribute to the repository by submitting absurdities you encounter at

As you will notice, all case studies are published anonymously as this reflects the preference of the vast majority of our contributors. While we reserve the right not to publish any submission we deem offensive or otherwise inappropriate, our policy is not to censor or fact-check the contributions. Accordingly, political and policy opinions expressed in the case studies should not be read as necessarily reflecting the position of IRI.

We hope that this repository will become a useful collection of 'DON'Ts' for practitioners and scholars alike.

  • "I have been recently nominated as the Regional IT Manager for West Africa at Unilever. My CEU Business School education has been a key differentiator during an otherwise very competitive recruitment process. I would like to thank all my great peers of the 2013-14 cohort and the wonderful faculty at the B-School for the valuable learning experience I had during my time in BP."
