CEU Ranked #39 among Young Universities under 50 by Times Higher Education

The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings list the world’s best universities that are aged 50 years or under.

CEU ranks #39 in the world, including #3 in the U.S., #22 in Europe, and #1 in Central and Eastern Europe. It ranks #2 in international outlook, #5 in student:staff ratio, and #10 in teaching.

 

CEU Ranked #42 in Politics, Has Top Rankings in Seven Subjects by QS World Universities
March 8, 2017

A graduate-only school specialized in the social sciences, CEU ranks #42 in Politics, Top 100 in Philosophy, Sociology, and Social Policy and Administration, and Top 200 in Economics and Econometrics, History, and Law and Legal Studies.

In Economics and Econometrics, CEU ranks #177, on par with TU Berlin, Université Paris Dauphine and the University of Strathclyde, and just ahead of the European University Institute, Fudan University, Nanyang Technological University and Northeastern University.

In the broad subject of Social Sciences and Management, CEU ranks #233, on par with École Polytechnique and just ahead of Simon Fraser University, Texas A&M University and University of California, Irvine. In the broad subject of Arts and Humanities, CEU ranks #194, ahead of University of California, Davis, University of the Arts London, and the California Institute of Technology.

 

CEU Ranked #16 in BRICS and Emerging Economies by Times Higher Education
December 1, 2016

The Times Higher Education BRICS & Emerging Economies University Rankings 2017 includes only institutions in countries classified as “advanced emerging”, “secondary emerging” or “frontier” by the FTSE, including the BRICS nations of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

CEU ranks #16 in the world, including #3 in Central and Eastern Europe. It ranks #2 in international outlook, #6 in student:staff ratio, and #18 in teaching.

 

CEU Ranked among World's Top 350, #8 in International Outlook by Times Higher Education
September 22, 2016

CEU ranks Top 100 in the U.S., #1 in Hungary, and #2 in Central and Eastern Europe. It ranks on par with Connecticut, Georgia and Temple in the U.S., Brunel, Essex and Stirling in the U.K., and York in Canada.

CEU ranks #8 in international outlook, behind Luxembourg, Qatar, Hong Kong, Macau, Lausanne, Geneva and Zurich.

CEU was already ranked Top 100 in the subject of social sciences including business, its main specialization. It has been included in the comprehensive World University Rankings for the first time - as a graduate-only school it was previously deemed ineligible for inclusion.

IMM Global Executive MBA Ranked #16 Europe and #51 in the World by The Economist
June 1, 2015

CEU Business School's IMM Global Executive MBA is ranked #16 in Europe and #51 in the world in The Economist’s bi-annual ranking of executive MBA programs. A collaborative effort with Purdue (U.S.), EBAPE (Brazil), Tianjin (China) and Tilburg (Netherlands), the program runs in modular form in seven countries on three continents.

The Economist ranks the program particularly highly on faculty, student diversity and salary increase.

 

CEU Ranked Top 100 in Social Sciences, #3 in International Outlook by Times Higher Education
October 3, 2014

Times Higher Education has named CEU among the world’s top 100 schools in social sciences including business. Ranked #91 behind the Ivy League's Brown University, CEU is one of 31 European schools to make the list.

In international outlook, CEU ranks #3 in the world after the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and HEC Paris. 

 

CEU Ranked #8 in Economics, Finance and Management by the European Research Council
January 10, 2014

CEU ranks #8 among European schools in the number of European Research Council (ERC) grants held by faculty. The four ERC Starting Grants hosted by CEU firmly establish the school as a cluster of research excellence. Importantly to our students, access to this research is made easy by our exceptionally low student-faculty ratio of 5:1.
