The Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy (ICS) at Hitotsubashi University and CEU Business School entered into a broad-based exchange and academic partnership. ICS Dean and Professor Kazuo Ichijo and CEU Business School Dean Mel Horwitch signed an agreement to promote academic cooperation and student exchangeat the Hitotsubashi ICS campus in Tokyo on October 21.

“Our collaboration with CEU Business School will surely have a bigger impact on research, teaching and global economy and politics since Hungary is now at the center for global geopolitical issues. We are looking forward to various exciting collaborations with CEU Business School to drive innovation for the world," sDean Ichijo stated.

“It is a great honor for CEU to be associated and working with such a distinguished institution as Hitotsubashi—one of the premier business schools in Asia. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with our friends at this wonderful school, especially in the areas of knowledge management and innovation, helping to further already strong ties between Japan and the CEE, commented Dean Horwitch.

This new academic and exchange partnership covers such areas as MBA student and faculty exchanges and joint scholarly and educational projects, including academic conferences, non-degree executive education and collaborative research. Receiving degrees from both schools is also a possibility for qualified exchange students.

“Studying at CEU Business School was the best investment I could make for myself and for my future. The learning environment is exciting and challenging. Our professors are always pushing us to think outside of the box and to look at management as a holistic and organic matter (i.e. to include facts and figures, as well as people and culture, knowing that all contribute to the success of a management strategy).”

  • "I have been recently nominated as the Regional IT Manager for West Africa at Unilever. My CEU Business School education has been a key differentiator during an otherwise very competitive recruitment process. I would like to thank all my great peers of the 2013-14 cohort and the wonderful faculty at the B-School for the valuable learning experience I had during my time in BP."
