About the MS in Finance program

The MS in Finance is a one-year international finance program conferring a U.S. Master of Science degree. It is available both full-time and part-time (evenings), including as a dual degree with one of our other degree programs.

The program runs from February to December. It is possible to extend to go on an international exchange, write a thesis, or take specialist finance electives at CEU’s economics and mathematics departments. Part-time candidates with professional careers may complete their studies in up to 18 months.

The program has a strong practical focus with a mandatory field project, the Finance@CEU expert speaker series, case studies, simulations and company visits. Program faculty have taught and earned degrees at Chicago, Wharton, Princeton, NYU, Yale, Indiana, Boston, Cambridge, Oxford, the LSE, Imperial and INSEAD.

“Studying at CEU Business School was the best investment I could make for myself and for my future. The learning environment is exciting and challenging. Our professors are always pushing us to think outside of the box and to look at management as a holistic and organic matter (i.e. to include facts and figures, as well as people and culture, knowing that all contribute to the success of a management strategy).”

  • "I have been recently nominated as the Regional IT Manager for West Africa at Unilever. My CEU Business School education has been a key differentiator during an otherwise very competitive recruitment process. I would like to thank all my great peers of the 2013-14 cohort and the wonderful faculty at the B-School for the valuable learning experience I had during my time in BP."
