The 20-month modular IMM (International Master's in Management) Executive MBA Program is a collaborative effort of several of the world's top universities:

  • Krannert Graduate School of Management, Purdue University, USA
  • TiasNimbas Business School, Tilburg University, The Netherlands
  • CEU Business School, Central European University, Hungary
  • College of Management and Economics, Tianjin University, China
  • EBAPE School of Administration, FGV, Brazil

The program, accredited by AACSB International and AMBA, starts in March of each year, and is designed for experienced professionals who need to maintain their full-time job. It consists of five two-week residential sessions that vary between the four participating institutions, with one session taking place in China and one in Mexico. IMM takes an analytical approach to business problem solving which develops the managerial skills required for career advancement. It focuses on the international dynamics affecting the business firm in tandem with the rich multi-national mix of faculty and participants.

The primary aim of the PhD program in Business Administration at CEU Business School is to produce graduates who will have academic careers dealing with a diverse range of business subjects and challenges, teaching and conducting research. There will be a particular emphasis in this program on specific academic competencies that exist within CEU Business School, such as innovation/entrepreneurship, business and society, and advanced general management (including management and strategy). A particularly favorable target audience for this program comprises PhD applicants from and/or having interest in bringing best management thinking and research to business schools and other relevant academic units in institutions of higher education located in emerging and transitional economies, including Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). A key set of outcomes that will be associated with this program will be the success of our PhD graduates in teaching and conducting research in business associated with emerging economies. The likely career path of our PhD graduates, therefore, will be largely within faculties of business schools mostly associated with these regions.

The Master of Science (MSc) in Business Analytics is a new program, and the first program dealing with BigData in the region. Graduates from the Business Analytics will become future business leader who will be responsible for managing data as the most valuable enterprise asset. They will define and execute data and analytics strategies to drive business success and create competitive advantage by gaining insights from the data.

The Master of Science (MSc) in Technology Management and Innovation Program (available both full and part time) program is unique in the region. It is designed mainly for managers or prospective managers with a technical background who need to develop the business, finance and leadership skills for advancement or entrepreneurship. The program is an interactive, hands-on education delivered by industry experts as well as academic faculty.

The Master of Science (MSc) in Finance is a small and densely international program, with two entries a year in September and January. The program runs full-time and part-time (evenings), allowing students to enter jobs or internships at any time. The curriculum has a vast range of courses in finance, econometrics, programming and big data. It also has a strong practical focus with a capstone field project, the Finance@CEU expert speaker series, case studies, simulations and site visits. The program is guided by an Advisory Committee of senior executives from BCG, Citi, Deloitte, GE, Jefferies, JP Morgan, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, MSCI and PwC, among others.

  • "I have been recently nominated as the Regional IT Manager for West Africa at Unilever. My CEU Business School education has been a key differentiator during an otherwise very competitive recruitment process. I would like to thank all my great peers of the 2013-14 cohort and the wonderful faculty at the B-School for the valuable learning experience I had during my time in BP."
